The TB4 Series II is a high-quality tipping bucket rain gauge for measuring rainfall in urban and rural locations. Due to the integrated syphon, the gauge delivers high levels of accuracy across a broad range of rainfall intensities.
The tried and proven design of the TB4 Series II ensures long-term, accurate and repeatable results. It is manufactured from high quality, durable materials ensuring long-term stability in the harshest of environments. It consists of a robust powder-coated aluminium enclosure, a UV-resistant ASA polymer base, a teflon bucket, and stainless steel fasteners and nger lter.
TB4 Series II provides a nger lter that ensures the collector catch area remains unblocked when leaves, bird droppings and other debris nd their way into the catch.
The base incorporates two water outlets at the bottom allowing for water collection and data verication.

- Bucket: Teflon impregnated ASA plastic UV stabilised balanced + 0.05gms for 0.5 mm
- Receiver: 200 mm + 0.3 diameter heavy duty cast aluminum, Powder coated for 0.2mm, 0.01, 0.5mm and 1.0mm and 282.84 + 0.3 mm diameter heavy duty cast aluminum, Powder coated for0.5mm
- Bucket capacity (Plastic): 0.5 mm of rainfall
- Maximum intensity: 700 mm / hr.
- Syphon: 0.4 mm (12ml) capacity of rainfall - made from brass with a non-
hydroscopic outer case. The syphon can be dismantled for routine cleaning and servicing.
- Base: injection molded non-hydroscopic ASA plastic UV stabilized.
- Level: bulls eye level fitted to base.
- Mounting holes: three slots 20mm L x 10mm W equispaced at 244 mm PCD in feet molded to outside diameter of base.
- Drain fittings: to attach 12 mm inside diameter tubing, to catch rainfall after passing through buckets.
- Bucket pivot system: ground Sapphire Pivots with tough 316g stainless steel shaft.
