The SFD-1000-P is a lightning detector that alerts users on possible lightning strikes up to 40 km (25 miles). This kit is specially made for use in swimming pools with a visual print that can be mounted for everyone to see, explaining the meaning of the different visual alarms. A power stand is also included for prolonged operation.

The SFD-1000 series is a Storm Front Detector utilizing a proprietary design for Storm Safety Awareness of Lightning Strikes in the area.
Over 6000 deaths and injuries occur from lightning strikes every year. The SFD-1000 can alert you to an approaching or departing storm front and lightning by sensing the distance of lightning strikes that are occurring in the area via audible and visual alerts, making you aware of potentially life-threatening situations.
This kit is specially made for use in swimming pools that includes 18x24 sign that explains the meaning of the visual alarms that is ideally mounted on the pool side or in any area around the pool where everyone can see. Also includes its own power stand with 9-30 VDC power supply.

Note: Devices that emit electrical noise, such as cell phones, tablets, or computers can cause interference that blocks the lightning detector from being able to receive the lightning signals. If the detector is unable to detect lightning due to electrical noise interference, the detector LEDs will display a flashing sequence of colors. The detector should be a minimum of 3 feet away from these types of devices.
