The HI705 Checker HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost effective way to measure silica. Silica is found in all natural waters in the dissolved form. Due to the potential to cause scaling, it is undesirable and therefore monitored in industrial applications, and in heating and reverse osmosis systems.
To perform a measurement the instrument a water sample is placed into a cuvette and the meter is zeroed. Next, a reagent is added that will react to the sample. Last, place the vial into the Checker, press the button and read the results. Its that easy.
