Precipitation amount and intensity are precisely measured by the rain[e]LP. Due to its extremely low power consumption, this weighing precipitation sensor is ideal for long-term use at solar-powered and battery-powered measuring stations.

The rain[e] sensor is the core of this station. It is a new type of weighing precipitation sensor that provides the highest resolution combined with a very compact design. In the Low Power (LP) version, the sensor is ideal for solar or battery-operated applications. The unique self-emptying collection system allows for the measurement of every single drop with a high resolution of 0.001 mm/m². The rain[e]LP is easy to lift, transport, install, and maintain. Its small packing volume and low weight ensure minimal logistical effort. The rain[e] series is compatible with data loggers from OTT and Campbell Scientific and is ideal for establishing and expanding rainfall measurement networks.
