An easy way to compare the temperature between surfaces. Simply point the thermometer at a surface and press the trigger to set a reference temperature. Then as you move the thermometer to point at another surface, the device will produce an audible and visual warning if the temperature has exceeded or dropped below the reference point, which increases the further the surface is from the reference temperature. Excellent for quickly diagnosing inconsistencies with office air conditioner systems, refrigeration systems, automotive cooling systems, checking for hotspots in mechanical equipment, etc. Features a backlit flip-up LCD for use in the dark.
