The DSD Series digital Durometer are designed for simple, single-hand use. Features include display of statistics during testing and a internal memory data logger.
Generally used as a measure of quality control; items tested include the hardness of skateboard wheels, car tyres, shoe soles, gummy bears and cheeses to name just a few. A durometer measure in the shore scale, the resistance to an indentation, that is made with a specific indenter and spring loading according to specific test standards such as ASTM D 2240. Each shore scale will use either a different indentor, spring load or both.
The DSD is used by pressing the device onto the surface of the item being tested. The DSD Shore A Durometer is for soft rubber, elastomers and soft plastics. This is a complete kit and includes power adapter, calibration control ring, factory calibration certificate, and test block.
