The Dust Detective enclosure from Casella is an accessory of the CEL-712 Microdust Pro and consists of the enclosure, adapters and PUF filters only. It is able to hold a Microdust Pro dust monitor with either and Apex standard or an Apex Lite personal sampling pump. Easy to assembly and fully weatherproof (IP65), the unit allows static air samples to be undertaken on site. Padlocks can be used to secure the Dust Detective enclosure in location (sold separately) which allows extra security.

Gravimetric samples can be taken through an air sample which is drawn into the enclosure via filters. This also allows the nature of the particulate pollution for source apportionment issues to be determined. Operation can occur for up to 18 hours (outdoor use may affect optics due to moisture or aerosols) and the respirable PM10 and PM2.5 fractions can also be monitored through using special inlet foams on the sampling inlet.
