Introducing MISCO Refractometers to Instrument Choice
|Instrument Choice were recently appointed as a distributor for the Misco range of refractometers. This range of refractometers virtually covers all of your scale requirements and even allows you to build your own. This kind of versatility opens up the world of refractometry and we are very excited to have them on board as a new supplier. They have been in business for 60 years and refractometers are not just a sideline business for them. It is all they do and that is what makes them unique.|
What they offer:
MISCO pride themselves on offering one of the largest refractometer selections within the market. This includes the basic Brix measurement in multiple ranges, to the unique such as Maple Syrup and Splenda or Dog and Cat urine.
However, they understand that every user is different and on most occasions there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution to suit your measurement needs. This is why they offer a "Build your own" option, this allows you to design a custom refractometer to your exact specifications. Just select the desired number of scales, choose protection options, and then add accessories to your design - truly making it your own and with the versatility to add up to 5 scales you can truly have a refractometer for almost all requirements.
The scales they offer can be viewed here. Whilst the MISCO meters we have available can be viewed here.
Our favourite products from their range:
The PA201X-093 MISCO Digital Refractometer is made specifically to measure human urine specific gravity. Simply place a drop or two of urine in the stainless-steel sample well, press a button, and instantly read urine specific gravity on the large LCD display.
The MISCO Palm Abbe PA202 is a dual-scale digital refractometer with scales for measuring both Brix (to 85) and refractive index (to 1.5000). Like the PA201, the PA202 is also accurate and easy to use, but with a higher measuring range. The refractive index scale allows the PA202 to also measure the density of liquids. The increased measuring range and refractive index increases its application outside of measuring sugar concentration and can be used with metalworking fluids, industrial lubricants, and other industrial chemicals.
