How do you measure TWL? Our Scientists show you how!

Thermal Work Limit (TWL) is defined as the limiting (or maximum) sustainable metabolic rate that well-hydrated, acclimatized individuals can maintain in a specific thermal environment, within a safe deep body core temperature (< 38.2 °C) and sweat rate (< 1.2 kg).

This month the Instrument Choice Scientists will show you how to measure TWL using the recently released Kestrel-5400:

Equipment Used:
1 x Kestrel 5400 Heat Stress WBGT Meter - IC-0854ORA

If you would like to discuss measuring TWL further please feel free to contact one of our friendly Scientists via email or phone on 1300 737 871.
