The NETATMO urban weather station is a high-quality, elegantly designed, smart home weather station. The indoor and outdoor duo measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, CO2, particulate matter and sound levels.
The NETATMO station kit automatically uploads collected weather information to the free NETATMO application via WiFi, where you can view your data from anywhere.

How to Set Up the NETATMO Urban Weather Station (IC-NWS01-P)
Materials
You will need;
- NETATMO Weather Station Indoor and Outdoor Sensors
- Two AAA batteries (Included)
- Power Adapter (Included)
- Mobile Phone (The Netatmo app is available on Android and Apple devices)
- WIFI (802.11 b/g/n compatible. 2.4GHz); and
- WIFI Password.
NETATMO Urban Weather Station Set-Up
Note: Before starting your NETATMO set up, ensure you switch on your phone's Bluetooth, that you connect to your regular WiFi network, and have your WIFI password handy. For this video example, we set up our Netatmo station using an Android device.
Connect the Inside Sensor to Bluetooth and WiFi
- Download the Netatmo application from the Google Play or Apple
- If you do not have a Netatmo account, click "Sign up" and follow the prompts to register for a free account. After creating or accessing a preexisting account click, "Log In" and enter your details.
- Power up the indoor sensor using the included adapter.
- After connecting the sensor to power, the LED light will start to blink green. Press "Next".
- Touch the indoor station's top surface until the green LED light changes and starts to blink either blue or white. Press "Next".
- If you have permissions set on your mobile, you will need to allow the app to see your mobile's location at this stage. Select and agree to the relevant permissions, then press "Next".
- Wait a moment as the station starts. The app and your phone will prompt you to pair with the Netatmo station. Click "Pair".
- You will receive a notification on the screen when Bluetooth pairing between the phone and station is complete. Press "Next".
- After pressing next, wait a moment as the available WiFi networks load into the Netatmo application. Select your WiFi network, then enter your password when prompted. Press "Next".
- The station has now connected to WiFi. Press "Continue".

Enter a name for your station and press "Confirm."
Connect the Outdoor Sensor
- Twist to disconnect the base from the outdoor sensor cover.
- Use a screwdriver to unscrew and open the battery compartment door.
- Insert the two AAA batteries, observing the polarity.
- Reconnect the base and cover and twist to lock into place.
- After completing the installation of batteries, a green LED will start flashing on the unit. Return to the application and press "Next".

You can now place the external module outdoors. Ensure the area is well ventilated and that the unit out of direct sunlight or any other sources that can cause temperature variations – like water heaters, air conditioning outlets, vents, etc. Once located outside, press "Next".
The App
- Read and click next to scroll through the introductory app information until you arrive on the app home screen. It will look like Figure 1. Set out at the top half of the screen is outdoor information, and the second half of the screen displays recorded indoor information.
