The base SNiP-AWS integrates 1x S-NODE and 1x MSO Integrated 5-parameter Weather Sensor to a site's unique network, communication and power
requirements. Alternatively, for greater data redundancy the SNiP-AWS package can integrate the MSO with 1x MFR-NODE, as it houses
an SD card which can retain a copy of the data on site. Both the S-NODE and the MFR-NODE can support an added 3x Sensors.
Built upon the MetOne MSO integrated 5-parameter sensor, the SNiP-AWS is an easily deployed, high accuracy system designed for industry-grade
applications. Measurements are provided on Wind Speed (m/sec), Wind Direction, Temperature (C), Relative Humidity (RH %), Barometric
Pressure (kPA), and Rainfall (mm).
Wind Speed and Wind Direction are measured using conventional cup and vane techniques. All other measurements are housed in a multi-plate
naturally aspirated radiation shield to reduce solar radiation heating errors.
The temperature sensor is a platinum RTD. Relative humidity is a based on an accurate solid-state sensor designed for continuous exposure
to adverse climates. The barometric pressure sensor is a robust piezo-resistive device featuring high accuracy and long-term stability.
An external stainless steel 0.2mm/0.25mm precision tipping bucket rain gauge connects simply and allows for correct installation and
siting per industry guidelines.
The system is powered by an 13Ah Li-Ion battery and 10 or 20W solar panel, scaled to suit the region of installation. The SNiP-AWS is supplied
with all support and power and monitoring hardware making it a drop-in solution for any IoT Network.
S-NODE: SDI-12 Node
The S-NODE has been designed to support the broad suite of SDI-12 based environmental sensors. The S-NODE can support sensors with higher
power requirements; a solar panel can charge either the internal lithium-ion battery or both the node and sensor can be powered by
an external 12V system (e.g. battery or mains source). The S-Node's SDI-12 communications can be customised to allow for interfacing
with any SDI-12 sensor.
A decoder suitable for TTN will be provided based upon sensor configuration.

MSO Weather Sensor
The MSO is an integrated 5-parameter Weather Station. Wind Speed and Wind Direction are measured using conventional cup and vane techniques.
All other measurements are housed in a multi-plate naturally aspirated radiation shield to reduce solar radiation heating errors. The
